I think that we would all be remiss as competitors if we do not take the time to thank, and congratulate the Island 22 Organizing Committee on an enormously successful BC Championships over the Labour Day weekend. What a professionally turned out show...well run, great volunteers and a super atmosphere all around...!!! Particular mention must go to: Cory, for her great job of keeping peace in the stabling area...Janice Spenst and her crew on the decoration of the xc courses...like a mini-Olympics...!!! Rolf and Heinrich on the presentation of the xc courses and jumps, just a great job all around; and Myrna on her fabulous job of the prizes...thank you...!! What a wonderful 3 day event that was hosted by the Island 22 group. Beautiful surroundings in mint condtion, colorful jumps, great weather, excellent Saturday dinner and music!! You all, the diligent, hard-working volunteers, are to be applauded..Thank you.

Although my daughter wasn't competing at the BC Championships, we went out to watch the XC -- our Vancouver parents commented that it's the best event by far she's ever been to~ her first experience at Island 22!

Park Conditions
Water jump - it is there somewhere UNDER all the water
Mowing - week May 7-11
XC Courses - 4 courses set but please be aware of the footing and do not over jump certain jumps.
Rings - all three rings have excellent footing. 10 stadium jumps available for use in the front ring. DO NOT MOVE THEM ONTO THE COURSE. Jumps donated by the Society and Mt. Cheam Pony Club.
Footing - Perfect drainage allows for Hitch Driving without any issues! BUT!!!! The Water is rising FAST and I mean real fast!! Get out there NOW to train before the river really moves up.
Gatehouse - Closed. Park is free - use at your own risk.
