Deadline to apply for the Athlete Development Scholarship

 


The Canadian Eventing Athlete Development Scholarship Program is designed to recognize and encourage the pursuit of international competition by developing Canadian riders. A minimum of two scholarships in the sum of $1,000.00 each will be awarded annually to qualified applicants, with additional scholarships awarded if sponsorship funds are available.

Eligibility criteria:

· Scholarships are available to Canadian citizens or those holding Canadian landed immigrant status landed immigrants who are members of the Equine Canada and Canadian Eventing and are a minimum of 16 years of age as of January 1st of the current competition year. There is no maximum age limit.

· To qualify for a scholarship the applicant must have completed at least one FEI competition at the one star level.

· Applications will be assessed based on a rating system of 1-5 (1 being unsatisfactory and 5 being excellent) for each of the following categories: Eventing experience, and competition results, competition plans/goals, and dedication to the sport including their support and promotion of the Equine Sport in Canada.

Park Conditions

Water jump - it is there somewhere UNDER all the water

Mowing - week May 7-11

XC Courses - 4 courses set but please be aware of the footing and do not over jump certain jumps.

Rings - all three rings have excellent footing.  10 stadium jumps available for use in the front ring. DO NOT MOVE THEM ONTO THE COURSE. Jumps donated by the Society and Mt. Cheam Pony Club.

Footing Perfect drainage allows for Hitch Driving without any issues!  BUT!!!! The Water is rising FAST and I mean real fast!! Get out there NOW to train before the river really moves up.

Gatehouse - Closed. Park is free - use at your own risk.
